I'm really jumping ahead today. I've been posting my pictures as they were taken. I'm still posting picture taken in the fall. I do this so that I don't get confused as to which pictures I've already posted.
However, yesterday I got some great shots of a couple of hawks that were following me...so I'm posting them today. Hopefully, when I go back to posting pictures in the order I've taken them I won't forget and post them again.
It was a beautiful crisp early morning when I took these yesterday. I had to give up a grade school alumni breakfast/brunch that I really wanted to attend. However, my mood demanded that I get outside and do some hiking. I'm sorry I missed spending the morning with my alumni friends, but this was how I decided to spend my Saturday morning...and I'm glad this is the choice I made.
I still wish the pictures were clearer, but I'm still pleased with what I captured!
This first picture shows two hawks. One in the lower left hand corner, the other in the upper right hand corner.
The next two pictures are of the same photo, individual birds have been cropped into new pictures.

Nothing Better Than the Great Outdoors!
Love the mushroom amid the clover!
You'll never guess who I just saw run in here...Winnie the Pooh!
More fall shots
Looks like a great place for a fall picnic.

Some of My Favorite Shots
Several of these pictures are some of my favorite shots.
This next one is definitely one of my favorites. Birds are very difficult to get good pictures, and this whole flock just co-operated so well!
Love sunrises and sunsets.
Great variety of color in this next picture...almost doesn't look real.
This last one is a sunrise outside my office window at the church where I work. This picture is being used on their old website as we work on a new one. I am new to web design so it may be awhile before the new website is up and running. Luckily, I'm working with someone else who really knows what they're doing. ;-) Here is a link to the old website using this picture. http://www.stjamesotv.com/

Reflections at Fernald Preserve
A few pictures of reflections...my favorite is the second shot.
The next 3 pictures are of an area where we have spotted deer in the past. We are always ready to snap their picture, but we really have to be quiet and quick. I usually let Herb walk ahead with the camera so that together we don't make too much noise.
Fernald is a great place to hike! So serene and even when you pass other hikers they are always quiet and respectful of the surroundings so no one's experience is ruined by unruly people.

Trees and Seed Pods
More trees from Fernald Preserve
I don't recall what tree these seed pods come from (Sycamore perhaps) but if we walked slowly so we wouldn't slip and fall on the pods, but then if we were too slow there was the chance of getting conked on the head by them.
